The renowned V.C.B.E.S Arts and Commerce College located at Gulbarga-Raichur By-pass Road was Lingasugur established in 1984 with the blessings of Sri. Sri. Ma. Ni. Pra Siddalinga Mahaswamiji, Valaballary and with the efforts of Sri Basavaraj Patil Anwari, Ex- Central and State Minister and Sri. Hampangouda Badarli, MLA of Sindhanoor. In the beginning, it was the only Arts and Commerce College, in Lingasugur Taluka of Raichur District. Initially the college was permanently affiliated to Gulbarga University, Gulbarga and later in 2021 with the launching of Adikavi Sri Maharshi Valmikki University Raichur at Raichur, the affiliation automatically got transferred to ASMVU Raichur. In the mean while the college came under the fold of UGC’s 2 (f) and 12(B) in 2007. The college was re-accredited in 3^rd Cycle with “B++” Grade by NAAC in 2021. The college boosts of having unique building with state -of -art facilities both in academic and non-academic spheres. Now the college is running UG Courses in Commerce and Arts, a PG course in Commerce affiliated to ASMVU Raichur and recognized Research Centre affiliated to Kannada University, Hampi.
